Sights of the Season!

I’ve been so busy this past week with unexpected stuff that needed to be addressed, my weekly plans were interrupted and I found myself exhausted at the end of the work week. So to simplify and continue to enjoy this holiday season I decided to relax and enjoy the sights of the season in my town and my neighboring communities, this weekend.  Hope you enjoy a few pictures from my meandering evenings!

We started off on an afternoon walk, after playing in the snow!

The geese were taking a siesta on the frozen pond, instead of feeding on our lawn!

Within the hour, the sunset,  and we headed home!  We decided to travel to the east bay, in search of holiday decorations!

On our way to Bristol we hit heavy traffic. We decided to detour down Water Street, lo and behold this outline of a sailboat suspended high above the Warren River, on a flagpole! Very Impressive!

We were greeted in Bristol, RI with spectacular lighting, and large arrangements of Christmas displays!

The waterfront was lite with understated lights, that twinkled in the darkness!

Up the street we spotted Santa!

A home decorated with Santa…….way over the top, but delightful!

Most of the local businesses were decorated for the season!  Now, it was time to head home, it looked ominous!

On the way home, we stumbled upon this gem of a Christmas display!

Finally, approaching home and beating the rolling fog!

Spoke too soon!

to all!

  1. I like that you can catch the beauty of this state with your photography. Every time I cross the bridge over to Warren, I glance at the beauty of the boats dancing on the water and I feel grateful to live here.
