What a Week!

It is not unusual for me to spend hours at a time reading online information regarding any type of arthritis or autoimmune disease.  This has been going on for years, trying to understand the disease and gain any type of knowledge that would enhance my standard/comfort of living.  Take note, I have never reacted nor posted on any of these sites, even when I thought it was an extraordinary post or rubbish.  Well, last week I responded to a post, it was evident, the writer was seriously struggling with side effects of a medication she was taking.  I was on an arthritis page, not the same kind of arthritis I live with, but I am treated with the same medication.  I shared with her: “I experienced the same side effects, was told by my doctor to give the medication more time and he would address the side effects, it didn’t happen overnight, but he was right”.  That’s all I wrote, people were posting, agreeing with my post and then I found the message from the administrator, “This group is only intended for individuals with ********* arthritis (it begins with a “p”), unfollow if you do not have the disease.”  First,  I don’t have rheumatoid arthritis, I treat for rheumatoid arthritis.  I don’t need to be told twice to leave a group, my post was deleted, and  I was dismissed by the administrator.  I laughed and then was sad that he would dismiss any well intended post.  I thought about it and it further inspired me to make my blog inclusive, comfortable, and spectacular for all to view and read!

    Mary Ann,

I’m sorry you had a bad experience, but looks where it brought you! I love the photos, they’re beautiful. I hope you’re feeling better!!

You are an inspiration to so many. Shame on those of us who go thirsty after being to led to
    water. Long may you run.
    Best regards,
    Mister Bristol.

  3. Everyone has different experiences why not learn from one another instead of getting all defensive and territorial, we are all in this together. We can all benefit from shared experiences I guess this administrator missed the point. Keep on sharing!!! Lovely photos!

  4. What an odd reaction to your comment on a public forum. I guess the type of arthritis they have makes them a member of an exclusive club. Your photos are a lot like you, finding beauty in things others would just pass by.
